The Board of Trustees, management, and staff of Huntingdon Valley Bank are concerned about and respect the privacy of customers’/consumers’ personal financial information. We understand that our customers furnish sensitive information to the bank, and the bank is committed to treating such information responsibly.
The bank will take all the necessary steps to safeguard sensitive information that has been entrusted to us by our customers. The following privacy policy and disclosure outlines our bank’s practice regarding personally identifiable financial information for consumers and those consumers who become our customers. If you decide to close your accounts or become an inactive customer, we will still adhere to the policies and practices described in this disclosure.
TYPES OF INFORMATION THE BANK COLLECTS

The bank does not disclose personal financial information except as outlined in this disclosure. By law the bank may disclose certain personally identifiable information without allowing consumers the right to opt out of the banks sharing agreements under the following circumstances:

To disclose information necessary to enforce the bank’s legal or contractual rights or the rights of any other person who is engaged in the financial transaction

To disclose information required in the ordinary course of banking business, such as the settlement of claims or benefits, the confirmation of information to the consumer or the consumer’s agent, and the billing, processing, or clearing of items in the normal course of business.

To provide information to insurance rate advisory organizations, guaranty funds or agencies, agencies that are rating the bank, persons who are assessing the bank’s compliance with industry standards, and the bank’s attorneys, accountants, and auditors

Affiliates An affiliate is a company we own or control, or a company that owns or controls us. Since Huntingdon Valley Bank is not an affiliate of any other company nor has any affiliates of its own information sharing with affiliates is not currently applicable.
Unaffiliated Third Parties, These are companies unrelated to Huntingdon Valley Bank by common ownership but provide additional services to enhance the product line offered by Huntingdon Valley Bank. Each relationship with Huntingdon Valley Bank is governed by a written security agreement wherein the third party company agrees not to use any of your personal information except for the purpose outlined in the contract with Huntingdon Valley Bank. These agreements are with companies such as mortgage banking, insurance companies, brokerage companies and finance companies. These third parties are not permitted to use your information except for the purposed outlined in the agreement between them and Huntingdon Valley Bank. These agreements may be joint marketing agreements, for which no opt out is offered and other arrangements to provide you with products and services.
Your right to opt-out, Unless the disclosure is permitted by applicable law, you have the right to instruct the bank not to share your nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties. To exercise this right, please call us at 215-947-1300 x205. You may exercise or cancel this option at any time.
If you sign the opt-out notice at the time your account is established or application processes, we will honor your request immediately. If you notify us later, we will stop sharing your information within a reasonable time. If you opt out at a time other than at account opening please include the following information with your request.

The bank reserves the right to share all information it collects in accordance with the circumstances stated above.
SAFEGUARDING CUSTOMER INFORMATION
We restrict access to non-public information to those employees who need to access information to provide products or services to our customers. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your non-public personal information. We educate our employees on these procedures and about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.
If we change our policy or practice by, for example, adding a category of information that we will disclose to a third party, we will notify existing customers and give them an appropriate time period to opt out of the disclosure.

Protect your account numbers, plastic card numbers, PINs (Personal Identification Numbers) or passwords. Never keep your PIN with your card, which can provide free access to your accounts if your card is lost or stolen.

If someone calls you explaining the call is on behalf of the bank and asks for your account number, you should beware. Legitimate bank personnel will never ask you to provide private personal information they already have.
