HVB Announces Management Restructuring

Huntingdon Valley Bank is pleased to announce that it has completed its management restructuring by appointing James R. Gillen, President and Chief Executive Officer of the six branch community banking organization.

Mr. Gillen's appointment marks the second significant leadership change at the bank in 2008. In January of 2008 the Board of Trustees unanimously elected Travis J. Thompson, Esq. to the position of Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Gillen joined Huntingdon Valley Bank in January, 2007 to spearhead a strategic restructuring of the Bank. He is well acquainted with the Bank's geographic market and its excellent customer base, having previously worked at Huntingdon Valley Bank from 1990-1997 as Senior Vice President of Lending. Mr. Gillen brings over 22 years of substantial banking experience to the position, including work at the Federal level as a bank examiner and in private industry in investment banking, investment advisory services and as a performance advisory consultant to a vast array of banks around the country. Huntingdon Valley Bank is thrilled to have someone with Jim's energy and wealth of industry knowledge leading the Bank into a new and exciting period of growth, said Travis Thompson, Chairman.

Mr. Thompson is a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. While in private practice, Mr. Thompson represented hundreds of clients in southeastern Pennsylvania and served as general counsel to Huntingdon Valley Bank from 2003 to 2006, before his election to the Board of Trustees in 2007. Currently, Mr. Thompson operates Suburban Marble and Granite located in Ivyland, PA. Suburban Marble & Granite has over 80 employees and is the premier fabricator of marble and granite in the Philadelphia metropolitan marketplace, serving national homebuilders, regional and custom homebuilders, designers, kitchen dealers, contractors and retail market segments..


HVB Expands Residential Lending Department

Charles Hutt of Langhorne has joined Huntingdon Valley Bank as Senior Vice President of Residential and Consumer Lending, where his role will be to build and expand a mortgage origination team at Huntingdon Valley Bank over the course of 2008 and beyond. Mr. Hutt brings to his position over 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry and previously worked as Vice President of National Mortgage Operations at Lehman. Mr. Hutt attended Valley Forge Military College and has spent 29 years of service in the US Army Reserves attaining the rank of Colonel, where he earned numerous awards and medals.

Ralph Cirino, Jr., of Warminster joins Huntingdon Valley Bank as Sales Manager, Residential Lending, where his role will be to facilitate the anticipated loan growth of Huntingdon Valley Bank. Mr. Cirino brings to the bank over 30 years of experience in the mortgage and lending areas. Mr. Cirino is a graduate of St. Joseph's University, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. He attended the School of Mortgage Banking at Notre Dame University and is a member of the Pennsylvania Mortgage Brokers Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association of Philadelphia, the Bucks County Builders Association and the Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce.




Warwick Township Summer Concert Series 2008

Huntingdon Valley Bank is proud to sponsor this popular concert series for the fourth consecutive year. We hope that you will bring your family and friends out to enjoy some great entertainment.

Concerts start at 7 p.m. on the field behind the Large Pavilion at the Community Park, 1733 Township Greene in Jamison (behind the township building). In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be held at Bridge Valley Elementary School (2280 Sugar Bottom Road).


JUNE 15 "John Clark and His Little Big Band"
The John Clark Little Big Band recreates the swinging jazz sounds of the big band era, performing compositions that span an entire century of music, including the classics made famous by Glenn Miller, Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, Harry James, Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman as well those by more contemporary arrangers like Sammy Nestico, Tom Kubis and Gordon Goodwin. What a way to start the summer concert series!

JUNE 29 "Midnight Shift"
This great band will bring the Chicago Blues to Warwick Township. They play lots of blues and rock and will have you dancing in your seats! "Midnight Shift" is sure to make a fun filled entertaining evening of songs for all ages.

JULY 13 "Cool Beans" with Steve Pullara"

Bring your family and come see the crazy, zany antics of Steve Pullara and Cool Beans. This three piece band, which sings interactive family music, provides a full range show for children & families in all kinds of situations and all ages. He will have you singing all the way home!

AUGUST 10 "Mango Men"
Yes, this fantastic "tropical band" is back by popular request! The Mango Men will have you up and dancing to "Jimmy Buffet" like tunes - you may think you are actually on a tropical island! This is a great way to end Warwick Township's summer concert series!

Plus..Movie in the Park

Fun Flicks Outdoor Movies will be providing a gigantic 21 foot movie screen, amplified sound system and premium projection. Just bring your blanket or chairs and sit back to enjoy the movie that starts at sundown (approx 8:30 pm) in the Community Park, Field #1 (by the pavilion) on Saturday, July 19. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be shown at Bridge Valley Elementary School (2280 Sugar Bottom Road). Movie title TBA.
